An Ode to Clay Face masks

My two current favorites are the Body Shop's seaweed ionic clay mask £12 and the Palmer's purifying mask £6. Both of these are very inexpensive and widely available.

The Palmer's mask I originally picked up at Superdrug and was intended to tide me over until I bought the Body Shop one again. My initial thoughts were not fantastic because I had over hyped it, this was due to the fact that I wanted it to be like the Body Shop mask. But, after a couple of uses I began to really enjoy the different experience. I was extremely surprised at just how cooling the mask actually was, the application was also smooth and easy, a little goes a long way. this is a great mask if you are looking for something not too intense, but that actually feels like it's doing something.

The Body Shop mask however, is a deeper mask and makes a huge difference to your skin, it visibly improves your skin straight after use and clears your pores. (I have in fact repurchased this twice!)

I absolutely adore these masks, but I do, on the other, feel that the effects that face masks have on my skin are very temporary and not long lasting. I find myself craving a mask more than twice a week which is the recommended use, I am therefore still in search of a face mask that clears up my skin and lasts a bit longer because I do not want to undergo several face masks a week, which is a relatively harsh treatment on the skin.
