Love Lush

This Christmas I was fortunate enough to receive this little Lush gift set from my friend. I find that Lush products are not the kind of thing that I will buy myself but if someone else buys them for me I absolutely love them. A recent obsession has been with their bath bombs. This is partially due to me having a constant cold and resorting to hot baths to feel better but it is also due to the huge range that Lush offer; glittery, floral, sweet, spicy plus they often look so so gorgeous. Another favourite of mine is the 'Honey I washed the kids' soap.

So in this set I got the Butterball bath bomb, which I cannot wait to use, and a bar of soap but I am not sure which one it is, nonetheless it smells delicious and I'm sure I'll love it.

New Hair Care

Yes I am becoming increasingly alarmed at the amount of products I have accumulated over a frankly too short a period of time. Yes these consist of three different heat protecting sprays... hmmmm.

However I do have an excuse for buying most of this. The Batiste dry shampoo is actually a repurchase because I regularly am too lazy to wash my hair and am weary of the negative results of washing it too often. I also use Batiste to give my hair volume and one of my top tips for dry shampoo is to apply it in the evening for the next day. One of my Christmas presents were these Babyliss straighteners (which were actually on sale for half price before so I would recommend searching/waiting for a better deal). This meant that I needed products to protect my hair from the heat, hence the Tresemme and Dove sprays, and I also got the Dove intensive Repair shots in case my hair becomes damaged. I am yet to use these though so I cannot comment on their success or failure.

I am a huge fan of the dove hair care range which I stumbled across last year. I am now a convert as their shampoo and conditioner have replaced my previous favourite; Aussie.I am therefore very intrigued by their leave in conditioner which can be applied to dry or wet hair so I got that as well.

Make Up Haul

I suppose that this could be considered a semi Christmas haul because all of these products were in fact gifts! The No.7 products came in a set and I finally think that I have found a liquid eye liner that I love! I am talking about the No.7 Stay Precise Felt Tip Eyeliner. It reminds me of the eyeko one which I loved until it dried out infuriatingly quickly! It is a hard felt tip which I find easiest to control. Another thing out of this set that I am currently enjoying is the No,7 Extreme Length Extend mascara. It just gives a nice subtle boost to your lashes.

The Real Techniques Core Collection, available here, is something that I couldn't bring myself to buy but really really wanted and I finally got it! I love the brushing and contour blushes the most. I also got the YSL travel set of 2 mini Touche Eclat, I haven't used it much yet but I'm finding it is a lovely subtle highlighter.
AND FINALLY...

The last thing that I received, and the most amazing, was the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, available here. I already have the Naked 1 and Basics which I use all the time so this palette will definitely be seeing a lot of use, especially as the colours, although similar, are all different to the Naked 1! Next on my wishlist is the third naked Palette...

Mini American Apparel haul

I was drawn in by the sale sign and my friends I swear!! Both the items I bought were in the sale and then all sale items were reduced further by 20% so I saved a lot of money. The salmon top is just a plain T-shirt and quite sheer, but not as see through as many other items in American Apparel. I really like it because I can wear it with jeans but it also looks really nice tucked in to skirts and high waisted shorts. So just a nice versatile piece which originally cost £25 but I got it for £10. The next item was obviously an off season purchase and won't be worn for a month or two yet. I had actually seen this jacket earlier on in the year and fell in love, but I was put off by the big price tag of £62, so of course you can imagine my happiness when it was reduced to approximately £25! So this was an extremely successful outing for me and I saved £52, so if you live near an American Apparel and want a great sale then go now!
